There's no denying that the long bob is the hair style of the summer (yet again). Actresses have it (Kate Mara, Rooney Mara, Dakota Fanning, Jennifer Lawrence), musicians have it (Taylor Swift, Lauren Mayberry), It Girls have it (Alexa Chung)...you probably have it.

But in a world where all the cool girls are rocking the same 'do, how do you stand out? We got tips from celebrity stylist Anh Co Tran, owner of Ramirez Tran Salon, who might be the master of the cut for how to change up the rad style. The first thing: try an A-Line cut in lieu of a blunt one--that means a cut that's a little shorter in the back, for those not up to date on their hairstylist lingo. Find out the rest of Tran's tips below.

When it comes to long bobs--is there one person who you'd consider the icon of the style?

Alexa Chung

What are some ways way a girl can change up the cut of her long bob?

She can wear it straight or curly, and brush it out to give it a more vintage look. Braiding is another great option for this length as well.

What are the benefits of a A-line cut? How is it different from a normal cut?

It preserves the length in the front, provides movement, and a chic look.

What are some ways to add texture to a long bob?

1. Diffusing
2. Soft curls and waves
3. Products (i.e. Oribe Dry Texture Spray or Apres Beach Spray)

Let's say someone with the cut is going for a sleeker look--how would you recommend achieving it?

Use a flat iron only on the ends, and make sure to not leave the top too flat. Use shine spray to give the ends sheen.
