The News: Sharp Objects Is Going To Be A TV Show!
Gone Girl may have been Gillian Flynn's most popular book--and soon-to-be-movie-- but now another of the author's works is getting a Hollywood remake, too. Her '06 debut novel Sharp Objects will soon be a TV show on TNT. Considering the book revolves around a detective pursuing the disappearance of two young girls, Flynn's got the whole creepy suspense thing on lock.
The Look: Marni Resort 2015
If your look this summer is "lost tourist" like me (seriously), then you NEED to take some major inspo from Marni's new collection. For resort 2015 that Italian brand--known for its quirky, totally unexpected pieces--has taken the whole "dad on vacation" thing to the next very chic level. It's a rad mix of awkward and cool, which, if you ask me, is a combo that makes outfits about 100 times more interesting.
The Face: Su After Sun Face and Body Wash
Everybody knows that the sun, and, and salt water isn't exactly the best for your hair. So the next time you go to the beach (or even lay out in the park), rinse off your body and hair with this ultra-moisturizing cleanser. Not only does it prevent dehydration to skin and strengthen your locks, it also prolongs the life of your tan. So you can get the glow, and keep your great skin, too.
The Inspiration: Luke Byrne and Ryan Kenny's Road Trip Photography
What happens when one of our fave photographers grabs his stuff, his camera, and hits the road with his best friend--who also happens to be an artist? This series of dreamy images, snapped throughout the U.S. (shot out the window of the duo's Mustang convertible). See all the photos on Byrne'sTumblr, and then start planning a road trip of your own, STAT.
The Song: "Beach"- San Cisco
This slow-burning jam from our Aussie loves is an instant summer go-to, thanks to a twinkly synth backbone and melodies that just glide right into your eardrums. Close your eyes, and you can practically hear the waves crashing and taste the salty air. It's about as close to a beach vacation as you can get, without leaving your desk.
