Take Reese Witherspoon, a best-selling adventure novel, and the acclaimed director of Dallas Buyers Club, and what do you get? Wild, the new movie from Jean-Marc Vallee that's based on the best-selling epynomymous memoir from Cheryl Strayed.
Penned by Nick Hornby (About A Boy, An Education), the Hollywood adaptation stars Witherspoon as Strayed, who embarks upon a rugged 1,100 mile hike alone after her life has fallen apart.
Despite the fact that the first trailer just debuted mere hours ago, the internet is already hyping the flick as a major Oscar contender (and not only because Witherspoon goes without makeup for much of the film). Watch the trailer below, and let us know if you believe all the buzz.
P.S. Wild hits theaters December 5th, which gives you plenty of time to read the book!
