The News: Turn Colors into Sounds

Forget tasting the rainbow—now you can hear it. Thanks to illustrator Julian Glander's new app, ROY G BIV, you'll never forget the acronym that helped you out on all those 1st grade pop quizzes, or forget what colors actually sound like. Just point your phone at anything—the pickled onion in your fish taco, the weird UV light that's been blinding you in that weird dive bar, or even those lovely blue eyes you've been dreaming about. With this faux-synesthesia, the possibilities are literally endless.

The Look: Missoni's Surrealist Fall 2014 Campaign

You may spend your day at an archaeological site surrounded by bright surrealist sculptures, but that doesn't mean you can't live in an abstract technicolor world. It's all about the attitude, and your DIY skills. Oh, and a killer Mondrain-esque print.

The Face: Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture in N 205, $35

It wouldn't be a gross overstatement to say that everyone over at NYLON is obsessed with YSL's Rouge Pur Couture Vernis à Lèvres Glossy Stains. Now we're actually losing our minds over the Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture line, which provides a moisturizing, super-saturated, long-lasting color. AKA everything we've come to expect from YSL.

The Inspiration: Michel Gondry's The Science of Sleep

Life can be difficult and lonely when you confuse dreams with reality. Luckily, Stéphane meets Stéphanie, his next door neighbor, a composer who understand's Stéphane's artistic vulnerabilities. When the lines of their relationship begin to blur, Stéphane's affections growing deeper as hers remain for the most part platonic, the cinematographic variations between reality and fantasy dissipate, fashioning a surrealist world so romantic and compelling that only Gondry could construct.

The Song: "The Duchess" by TĀLĀ

This London-based singer has the coolest, most distinct electro sound I've heard in a while. If I must make reference, I would say TĀLĀ is a  mix of M.I.A., whom she cites as one of her greatest inspirations, and FKA Twigs. TĀLĀ really only emerged on the scene one month ago, with the release of her first EP, The Duchess. No news on when she plans to release an LP, but there's no doubting that TĀLĀ's going to be HUGE.
