The News: Jeff Hamada of booooooom.com posted his summer (ender) mix "Truly Madly Deeply II"
See below for my feelings on these "summer is over" rumors - but this mix, in Jeff's words, "has nothing to do with summer" and is more of a club mix - featuring a lot of bad language. So yeah, it's pretty cool. Download and get yo groove on before it's gone!
The Look: NYLON's September 2002 fall picnic spread
Okay, so Labor Day is over and everyone's already talking about snowstorms. BUT! For one, fall doesn't technically start for a few whole weeks. And for another, summer "ending" doesn't mean you have to quit the beach! I'm mimicking this fall 2002 spread and planning a weekend beach picnic this month. I'll be wearing my swimsuit and my favorite cozy sweater.
The Face: Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm SPF 25
I have a major, major chapstick addiction. Like if I leave the house without it I have to buy it immediately. This grapefruit ginger flavor is my current fave! It's sulfate and phthalate free and the SPF is a no-brainer.
The Inspiration: crystal_meh
Imagine if Tim and Eric had a blog about fashion, food and ya know, life. That's crystal_meh. You'll have to read it for yourself, but I check it out on the reg for tips on where to buy cute cheap shades and what sneakers I should wear to a rave. Important stuff.
The Song: "Beyond Clueless" by Summer Camp
Brit indie pop duo Summer Camp, and real life couple Jeremy Warmsley and Elizabeth Sankey's, latest release is a collaboration with director Charlie Lyne on the soundtrack to his documentary Beyond Clueless - an exploration of teen movie culture. This title track is just the right mix of cute catchy pop and nostalgia. Love.
