The News: Dev Hynes Wrote Two Demos for Britney Spears
Sure, they may have been rejected, but they are g o l d e n. Just imagining the possibilites that could have happened if Dev and Britney teamed up would be enough for me (an "Oops!...I Did It Again" x "It Is What It Is" mashup, an "Always Let You Down" x "Hold It Against Me" remix...) but actually getting to hear the tracks?!?! Sure, Britney may not be on it, but I'm in heaven right now. And once you listen below, you will be, too.
The Look: Revolve x Margaret Zhang's "Zip It Up" Shoot
Draped jackets, berry-stained lips, leather, and slip dresses. Yeah, that's the look I'll be channeling this fall.
The Face: Glitter Eyes at Anna Sui
To create this Rock n' Roll/grunge look, apply gold-green glitter to the inner corners and the middle top and bottom of the eye. Keep the rest bare. It's that easy.
The Inspiration: '90s Angelina Jolie
Who else is more deserving of their own decade-dedicated Tumblr page? So cool I can't even handle it.
The Song: Kele - "Coasting"
I'll always have a special place in my heart for Bloc Party and its frontman, Kele Okereke—after all, they pretty much soundtracked my teenage years. So naturally, I haven't stopped listening to Kele's new track "Coasting" (off his upcoming album Trick) since it dropped yesterday. Filled with electro manipulation, pulsating beats, and Kele's signature angelic vocals, this song feels a little rougher than his previous work, but in the best way possible. Listen below and see what I mean.
