If you thought Chanel No. 5's previous campaigns were impressive, stop what you're doing right now and watch their newest ad.
The work of legendary director Baz Luhrmann, the 3-minute video is a hauntingly beautiful glimpse into the life of a modern woman—one who is athletic, career-driven, and with a kid to boot. So it's no surprise that the new face of the iconic fragrance is none other than model Gisele Bündchen, who looks even more stunning atop a surfboard than we thought humanly possible.
The ad follows Chanel's new leading lady as she conquers tsunami-worthy waves on her Chanel-brand surfboard (complete with double C emblem), stuns on set of a No. 5 photoshoot, and holds her laughing child in her arms, which is by far the most touching moment of the film. The campaign comes to a climactic close as Bündchen searches for her lost lover, played by Game of Thrones star Michiel Huisman, and the two share a steamy kiss. (Although why anyone would leave Gisele Bündchen in the first place is a complete mystery.)
Gisele's expressive performance, combined with Lo-Fang's slow, sultry version of "You're The One That I Want," in the background make this video one of our favorite Chanel campaigns yet. We just wish there was more to watch!
