With Miley Cyrus' porn festival submissions, Art Basel antics, and dating life, it's easy to forget she's also one of the most talented singers in the industry. Last night on Saturday Night Live's 40th anniversary special, her subdued (by her standards) cover of Paul Simon's "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover" was a reminder of that. The song, performed as a tribute to Simon, showcased Cyrus' rich vocals and country music background. Cyrus, who's covered Dolly Parton's "Jolene" and Lana Del Rey's "Summertime Sadness" in the past, seems at her most mature when she's covering other people's music. Either way, it's hard to imagine her going back to twerking and midgets after a performance like this.
