The stars came out last night to celebrate Burberry’s journey from London to Los Angeles. High above the city at the iconic Griffith Observatory, fashion industry leaders mixed with supermodels, actors, creatives, musicians, and those lucky enough to be invited beyond the custom-made British park gates. And what they experienced was something larger-than-life.
If you tuned into Burberry’s live-broadcast on Periscope, you know what we’re talking about. After the California sun set, the runway lights illuminated Burberry’s entire 2015 collection, which included designs sold exclusively at the brand’s flagship on Rodeo Drive. Tom Odell, Benjamin Clementine, and Clare Maguire performed and James Corden closed the show after Naomi Campbell walked. The First Battalion Grenadier Guards marched down the runway before guests were invited out into the lawn to see the Griffith Observatory illuminated in starry projections. Burberry was not fooling around. Hey, you only arrive in Los Angeles once; might as well make it epic.
