The Checklist Curator: Natalia Kills
The Look: Courtney Love circa 1990.
She always gets it right for me--better to be undone than overdone. I love her early'90s Jail Bait look, I love her messy hair, I love her satin night gowns, tiaras and deco jewelry. I live in a permanent state of organized chaos and disheveled glamour, so Courtney is queen!
The Face: Diorific Collection Golden Winter
They look so super beautiful and have lovely warm colors. I particularly love 041 ETOILE which is very natural, and 042 WINTER which is dark and dramatic. Both are seductive, and have a perfumed nostalgic taste that reminds me of being little and trying on my mother's lipstick for the very first time--it's addictive! I think it's important that all accessories are equally as gorgeous as the rest of the outfit. It doesn't make sense to pull things out of my purse and put things on my face that aren't intricately designed and complimentary to my mood.
The Inspiration: Requiem For A Dream
Requiem For A Dream. This film really explains me... I feel like the dreams I chase are closer to delusions sometimes. I love how the characters are all addicted to a desire of a better life and the escape that comes with trying to find it. Plus, how hot are Jared Leto and Jennifer Connelly?
The Song: "Stupid Girl" by Garbage
Also, " Only Happy When it Rains" and every other Garbage song.
